Helicopter Spirals Out of Control into Palm Groves at Popular Southern California Coast
A chopper soaring above a well-attended California beach suddenly began spiraling wildly, finally dropping height and plunging into a cluster of palm groves as beachgoers watched.
Recordings uploaded online depict the aircraft commencing to spiral above the shoreline then descending in the direction of the perimeter of the coast, where it gets stuck amidst palm trees and a set of stairs near the Pacific Coast highway.
Rescue Operation Details
The Huntington Beach fire department stated five individuals were rushed to the hospital involving a pair who were in the helicopter and were “safely pulled from the wreckage” subsequent to the crash on that day.
Three people on the street were injured. Details on their condition were still under review.
What led to the incident was not immediately released.
